In his first season with Brommapojkarna, Guidetti scored 14 goals in 24 appearances. His impressive performances caught the attention of several top clubs, and he joined Manchester City in 2009.

Manchester City and Loan Spells

At Manchester City, Guidetti initially played for the club's reserve team. He made his first-team debut in 2010 in a League Cup match against West Ham United. He scored his first goal for the club in a 4-0 win over Barnsley in the FA Cup later that season.

Guidetti struggled to break into the Manchester City first team in the following seasons. He was sent on loan to Feyenoord in 2011-12 and Stoke City in 2012-13.
