Arsenal Fan Abuse Made Me Stronger Says Former Gunner

Arsenal fan abuse made me stronger says former Gunner

Jack Wilshere reveals the abuse he received from Arsenal fans made him a stronger person.

Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has revealed that the abuse he received from the club's fans made him a stronger person.

Wilshere, who left Arsenal in 2018, was often the target of criticism from fans, particularly during his final years at the club.

But the 30-year-old says that the abuse he received only made him more determined to succeed.

"It made me stronger,"

Wilshere told The Times.

"I think it made me a better player. I think it made me a stronger person. I think it made me more resilient."

Wilshere also said that he believes the abuse he received was motivated by the high expectations that Arsenal fans have for their players.

"I think Arsenal fans are very passionate," he said.

"They want to see their team win. They want to see their players play well. And when they don't, they let you know about it. It’s part and parcel of the game."

Wilshere's comments come after Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said that he believes the club's fans need to be more supportive of the team.

"I think we need to create a much better atmosphere around the team," Arteta said.

"I think we need to be more positive. I think we need to be more supportive. I think we need to be more together."

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal fans will take Arteta's advice on board. However, Wilshere's comments suggest that the club's fans are capable of being more supportive, even when the team is not playing well.
